Food and hospitality

From the order to the pass

Hospitality is not retail with a different product file. An order is taken, modified, routed to a kitchen, prepared and handed over — and every one of those steps has to agree with the others. LinxPos runs all of them.

In detail

What you get

Kiosk ordering

Customers order for themselves from a menu on screen, with pictures, categories and clear prices, then pay at the kiosk.

Kitchen ordering

Orders go straight to the kitchen as they are placed, so preparation starts without anyone carrying a docket.

Preparation routing

Different parts of an order routed to the stations that make them, so grill, fryer and cold prep each see only their own work.

Modifiers and options

Sizes, extras, swaps and omissions handled as part of the item rather than as a note for someone to interpret.

Courses and timing

Items grouped into courses and held until called, so a table is served in the right order rather than as things happen to be ready.

Table service

Orders opened against a table, added to through the sitting and settled once — including splitting the bill.

Order numbers and collection

Collection numbers issued at the point of order and cleared when the order is handed over.

Menu management

Menus, prices and availability maintained centrally, with items taken off sale the moment they run out.

How it runs

Step by step

  1. Order Taken at the counter, at the table, or by the customer at a kiosk.
  2. Route Items are sent to the preparation stations that make them.
  3. Prepare The kitchen works from the live order, with courses held until called.
  4. Serve The order is called or delivered, settled and closed.

What it means at the counter
